Based in New York City and Dublin, Ireland, Erin (she/her) is a theatre-maker, movement specialist, coach, and educator whose passion lies at the intersection between creative artistry, best practices for safety, and the skilled execution of vision. Drawing on her experience as an actor, director, and storyteller, she works with compassion, curiosity, and open collaboration to bring others’ visions to life.
After training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Erin moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in the arts and film industry. Along the way, she co-founded Vernal & Sere Theatre, which has since become recognized as one of the leading experimental theatre companies in the United States. She also developed the company’s training program, introducing physical movement methods and devising practices to artists across the Southeast. Erin has continued her ongoing movement training with SITI Company and Frantic Assembly.
Erin’s multifaceted experience as an actor, writer, director, producer, coach, and educator gives her the tools to collaborate with creatives of all disciplines to bring powerful stories to the stage and screen.
After performing in physically and emotionally demanding roles — many involving intimacy — Erin developed a strong commitment to integrating practices that prioritize actor safety while still honoring the vision of writers, directors, and producers. To supplement her extensive knowledge of movement and narrative, she has completed over 100 hours of training with IDC Professionals and Theatrical Intimacy Education.
Erin approaches her work as a collaborator equipped with resources to create something that resonates, leaving a lasting impression not only in its final form on stage or screen, but also on the artists involved in the process. She is available for a variety of services, including directing, acting coaching, intimacy coordination and direction, as well as movement direction. She brings a toolkit designed to help build work that is electric, specific, honest, and enduring.
Erin is currently completing her MFA in Theatre Directing from the prestigious Lir National Academy of Dramatic Arts at Trinity College Dublin.
